Medical Treatment

This provides information about the hospital's outpatient care.
We support our patients' health through medical care.

Outpatient Services

Please bring a referral letter with you on your initial visit.
For follow-up visits, please make an appointment in advance.

To fulfill our role as a core hospital in the community, we primarily treat patients referred by other medical institutions. To reduce outpatient waiting times and ensure smooth medical treatment, we kindly request patients to schedule appointments in advance through their family doctors. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • * Some medical departments use an appointment system exclusively—even patients with a referral letter must have an appointment made in advance by the referring medical institution.
  • * Patients without a referral letter may incur the "Sentei Ryoyohi" fee, an additional charge applicable to first-time patients lacking a referral.
  • *Please note that patients without an appointment may not be able to receive treatment on the day they visit the hospital.

Initial Visit

Our hospital requires a referral letter at the time of the initial visit.

Please make an appointment in advance and bring your referral letter to the initial visit.
Making an appointment in advance will shorten the waiting time.

  • *Patients without a referral letter may be required to pay the "Sentei Ryoyohi" fee, an additional charge for first-time patients without a referral.

What does "initial visit" mean?

  • When visiting this hospital for the first time
  • When the doctor determines the injury or illness has been healed or cured and treatment is ended
  • When the patient chooses to be examined or receive treatment in a department other than the one currently engaged for treatment
  • When the patient chooses to discontinue treatment

Patients without a referral letter will need to cover the "Sentei Ryoyohi" fee, an additional charge for first-time patients lacking a referral, in addition to medical expenses at the time of the initial visit or follow-up visits.

Cases requiring payment of the "Sentei Ryoyohi" fee
Patients without a referral letter 7,700 yen (tax included)
Patients who have finished treatment here and have been referred to another medical institution, but then wish to return to our hospital without bringing a referral letter from the other medical institution 3,300 yen (tax included)

  • Patients failing to provide their health insurance card are responsible for paying the examination fees incurred on that day.
  • Patients visiting our hospital for treatment of any traffic accident- or work-related injury must inform us of this when they first arrive.

Follow-Up Visits

Our hospital requires appointments for follow-up visits.

Patients making annual or other regularly scheduled examinations must also make an appointment before visiting the hospital. When a patient receiving treatment at our hospital for a particular illness discontinues that treatment without making an appointment for their next visit, but then later wishes to resume treatment here, the patient is considered to be making an initial visit.

Patients who have finished treatment here and have been referred to another medical institution, then wish to return to our hospital without bringing a referral letter from the other medical institution will be charged—at their own expense—a special or specified medical care coverage fee of 3,300 yen (tax included).

  • Patients failing to provide their health insurance card are responsible for paying the examination fees incurred on that day.

Medications

In accordance with the national policy advised by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare, we are implementing the separation of medical and dispensary services. As part of this initiative, our hospital issues "out-of-hospital prescriptions.

Instead of obtaining medications directly from the hospital pharmacy, patients receive a prescription to take to a local dispensing pharmacy, where a pharmacist reconfirms the details of the prescription and any drug interactions before dispensing the medication.

Prescriptions issued by an authorized insurance medical institution are only valid for four days, including the date of issue. This period includes regular and public holidays, so please be careful not to allow the prescription to expire. Once the final date of validity has passed, the prescription will need to be reissued.

Please ensure you bring the original prescription to the hospital, as it will need to be exchanged for a new one.
Kindly note that you will be required to visit the hospital and cover the reissue fee personally, as it is not covered by health insurance.

  • *Under special circumstances, such as extended travel plans, if the doctor has provided a prescription with an extended validity period, it will remain valid until the specified date. Please inform us at the time of your visit.
